PlAyTiMe On PrEsIdEnT's DaY!!
Today we went to one of the kids' favorite places to be rambunctious and get our wiggles, or should I say, sniffles out. Teehee! These colds have been horrible to get rid of! UGH! We went to Planet Kid. It is a perfect place for kids and full of a bunch of toys and slides and tubes! Fun for all and as an added bonus, adults can fit into it all too! Yipee! You haven't had a day unless you tried to slide down a tube with a nice head cold with your lungs straining for just a little more air, and an added bonus of a 3 year old cheering you to go faster, in a place you aren't sure you can get out of! Too much fun!!! No really, we had a great time! One of my favorite friends and her daughter came with us to join in the fun! I love spending time with them! I am so glad they were able to come!! Thanks Kristin and Magnolia! We so enjoy you! Of course Mom and her new crew came with us and it is always fun to play with all of them. (Plus a day with Mom is just an added bonus to anything!) They even opened up the rock wall and let us climb on that too! We were so lucky! We thought we would share some pictures of our pictures so you can see how we spent our Presidents Day. (We did talk about Lincoln and Washington and all they did for our country! See you thought, we didn't spend the day the way we were suppose to! Silly you!)
JuSt AnOtHeR cRaZy MoNdAy!!!
Well, here we go again! Waking up as Ronie heads out the door for Montana! I hate when my best friend is gone! (However, you keep working honey! I completely appreciate how hard you work for us!!) It makes the world seem so very lonely and not as much of a fun place as it was the day before! Thank goodness we have our children so I can see the little things they do that remind me so much of him. Our little friends that make our lives crazy, wonderful and full of joy!! Isn't it amazing that family can make your life seem so complete?!?! So, as they are running through the house in need of my attention, I am sitting here coughing and sneezing, (Oh yes, I have the cold the kids shared with me!), probably feeling a little sorry for myself (Sorry Mom, I haven't figured out how not to, yet!!) I found this song on someone else's blog. It seemed perfect on a day like today! So babe, if you reading this, I love you! Hurry home! We are anxiously awaiting!!!! For everyone else, I hope you enjoy listening to a really good song! (You might want to pause our playlist at the bottom, so you can you hear the song.) Enjoy!! I sure did!

A Weekend Get-Away!
Last weekend, after judo practice, we decided to head up to the cabin to get away! It had been an extremely LONG week for Ronie and I and we just needed to spend a little alone time with family for a breather! Sometimes it seems that life just goes way too fast with schedules, jobs, routines, you just need to slow down and get away! So that is exactly what we did! We loaded up the dog, the kids, some food and headed for the hills! It was a beautiful day! The sun was shining, Ron built a campfire and we sat around it watching the kids sled down the back steps! Can life get any better than that? A perfect setting with some perfect family time! A weekend like that takes away all of the bad and fills your heart with fresh renewal for life!
Can we take a minute to brag?
January 29th and 30th, 2009
We were asked to attend award assemblies for Jonathan and Elizabeth. Both of our kids were selected for special recognition as one of the top five in their class for the second quarter. As always, we were so very proud of both of them! It is so nice to see that they are doing well both academically and socially in their new school. Jonathan and Elizabeth both have some new wonderful friends and they have adjusted perfectly!!! Can I say that it was so nice to go to the assemblies and just be a proud mommy! Ronie didn't get to go to because he was out of town in Montana (We missed him greatly!) but thankfully I have an amazing Kindergarten team this year and principal to let me take time off and make it to both of assemblies. The kids were well supported and loved with Grandma Terry, Grandma Great and Grandma and Grandpa Ryan coming to cheer them on. Elizabeth's was Thursday afternoon and I was able to make it there in plenty of time to see her get her award and meet some of her friends in her class. Jonathan's was Friday, so I decided to take the whole day off. It was fabulous to be able to wake up, get the kids ready and have breakfast with them, drop them off, spend some time reading (ALONE!!), hang out with my mom and go to lunch with a good friend before I went to the assembly. To top the day off, Jonathan was not only one of the top five, he was the top of his class so received the "Wildcat" Award. A perfect couple of days, with the exception of not having Ronie there! We have been so very blessed by amazing kids and how hard they work in school! Jonathan and Elizabeth, way to go! We are so very proud of you and all that you do! Congratulations!!!
